Volunteering at CNH

Volunteers are a key part of CNH’s success. Every year, hundreds of volunteers help support CNH in a variety of ways. They help out in the office, in the kitchen, on the rooftop garden, and in many of CNH’s programs and initiatives. Volunteering is a great way to get valuable experience and a wonderful way to contribute to making your community a better place!

How to volunteer at CNH

Requirements

As per the CNH Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, all volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before they start their volunteering experience at CNH. Volunteer positions are open to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents and others with valid work permits. We welcome people from all backgrounds and ages, but please note some requirements:

  • Work permit holders, visitors and international students need to send additional
information to our office – connect with us!
  • Volunteers must review and agree with the CNH volunteer guidelines. All volunteers
review these guidelines with their Program Manager /Supervisor on their first day of
volunteering/orientation and volunteers will be required to sign the document if they
agree to comply with the guidelines.
    • These guidelines are based on CNH’s mission and values. We encourage those
interested in volunteering at CNH to read the guidelines before registering to
      volunteer.
  • All volunteers are required to submit a valid BC criminal records clearance before they start volunteering with CNH (mandatory for volunteers 12+ years old).
