Volunteers are a key part of CNH’s success. Every year, hundreds of volunteers help support CNH in a variety of ways. They help out in the office, in the kitchen, on the rooftop garden, and in many of CNH’s programs and initiatives. Volunteering is a great way to get valuable experience and a wonderful way to contribute to making your community a better place!
Volunteer positions are open to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and others with valid Work Permits. We welcome people from all backgrounds and ages, but please note some requirements:
– To volunteer with Recreation, Morning Star and Child Care Programs, you must be at least 16 years old.
– Volunteers must review and agree with the CNH Volunteer Guidelines. All Volunteers review these guidelines with their Program Coordinator on their first day of volunteering/orientation and volunteers will be required to sign the document if they agree to comply with the guidelines. These guidelines are based on CNH’s Mission and Values. We encourage all those interested in volunteering at CNH to read the guidelines before applying for a position.
– All volunteers are required to submit a valid B.C. Criminal Record Search before they start volunteering with CNH.
