Join us on Tuesday evenings from 5 to 7 pm for our weekly cedar carving program. This program is free with priority for Indigenous youth, elders and families.
Feb. 24 to April 30, 2024 at the CNH Joyce and the CNH Annex
Our annual income tax clinic will be available from Feb. 24 to April 29, 2024. Book an appointment today and our volunteers will be able to assist with your taxes. Drop-offs are also accepted.
Please note that this year’s tax deadline is Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Services provided through the tax income clinic are free. However, donations are always appreciated. The income tax program is volunteer-coordinated and operated.
Files dropped off after April 30 will still be processed but there are no guarantees that it will be filed by April 30. (This only impacts clients expecting to owe taxes.)
Government-issued photo ID (passport, BC ID or BC driver’s license)
All T-slips; if any are missing, please inform the volunteer or note on the intake form
Copy of your prior year (i.e. 2022) tax return, if applicable
A copy of your prior year’s notice of assessment/reassessment (letter you get from the CRA after you filed your taxes), if applicable
To cancel your appointment, you can do it online or call 604-428-9142. Note: if you are exhibiting any flu or cold-like and not feeling well before the appointment, please cancel and re-book your appointment and refrain from entering the clinic.

The tax clinic is available to support all folks who need assistance with filing their taxes. However, we especially encourage those with the following backgrounds and/or experiences to book an appointment:

Due to limited financial capacity, CNH has decided to pause the Community Lunch program indefinitely starting June 1, 2025.
Tuesdays from 12:15 to 1:15 pm in the multipurpose room at CNH Main House (5288 Joyce St).
Please join us for one of our three-course meals, which offer a nutritious, healthy and affordable lunch. Our Food Hub team members will take turns showcasing diverse cultural cuisines at CNH, bringing flavours from different backgrounds to the community table. We hope to create a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy delicious meals and celebrate the rich food traditions that make our community unique.

Also known as Baduanjin Qigong, this gentle program uses callisthenics, stretching, and breathing exercises to increase circulation of vital energy (Qi) to maintain good health and fight disease. This exercise is particularly suitable for those who find Tai Chi complicated and physically demanding.

As of Feb. 1, 2024, we are pleased to announce the expansion of our payment methods to provide greater convenience for our members. In addition to our existing practices of accepting debit cards, cheques and cash, we now welcome Mastercard and Visa payments. It is important to note that the exemption from credit card usage for childcare payments remains in effect. In addition, we are excited to introduce the capability for refunds to be processed back onto cards, further enhancing our commitment to member satisfaction.
