Make a Difference

Your donations help us promote the well-being of the Renfrew-Collingwood community.

Since 1985, Collingwood Neighbourhood House (CNH) has responded to the community’s needs through leadership and working collaboratively with individuals, families, agencies and other groups. Our services and initiatives aim to be inclusive, innovative and sustainable.

Along with being a not-for-profit organization, CNH is also a registered charity (GST #118868298RR0001), which means that we issue tax receipts for financial donations.

How to Donate

For maximum impact, consider writing a cheque to CNH. Donations are distributed to areas with the highest need unless specified.

Online

To donate online, fill out the form above or click here. If you wish to donate to a specific program, please choose one of the options in the dropdown menu, or indicate the name of the program in the message field.

A portion of donations made online go to the donation platform, Canada Helps.

By mail (cheques)

To maximize your gift, consider donating directly to CNH. To assist us with processing your donation as quickly as possible, please follow the below steps.

1. After indicating your donation amount, make your cheque out to “Collingwood Neighbourhood House Society”

2. Let us know this is for a donation (in the memo field or on an enclosed note)

3. If you wish to donate to a specific program, please note this as well (donations are otherwise directed to the area of greatest need)

4. Ensure your mailing address is clearly written on the envelope or enclosed with the donation

5. Address the envelope to:

Non-monetary donations

Due to current circumstances, we are not accepting non-monetary donations at this time.

Your Impact

Since 1985, CNH has grown from our original storefront on Kingsway to our main site on Joyce Street, the CNH Annex, multiple childcare centres and most recently, RISE Community Health Centre.

From $10/day childcare and a not-for-profit pharmacy to a community fridge and breakfast program, we have made great strides that meet the evolving needs of our neighbourhood.

While CNH receives funding for our various programs from the government, it’s sometimes not enough. And that’s where you can help.

In 2025, we experienced our biggest funding loss yet.

Earlier this year, we announced the decision from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to cut our entire funding, which has supported settlement programs at CNH for over 30 years. This decision affected hundreds of participants, multiple programs, 20 staff positions and overall access to key services in our community.

This is one example of why CNH needs your support.

We know that this has been a financially challenging time for many. If, however, you are in the position to help, please direct a donation, of any amount, to CNH to support our programming and services.
