Collingwood Days: Movie Night
Bring your chair and get cozy at Collingwood Park to watch Rio (2011) after dusk. Please note that the movie will only take place if the weather permits.
About the Movie:
Rio (2011) is a fun animated movie about Blu, a rare blue macaw who can’t fly. He travels to Rio de Janeiro to meet Jewel, the last female of his kind. Their adventure takes them through the city as they try to escape from bird smugglers and learn to work together. With beautiful scenes, and funny characters, Rio is a joyful story about friendship, courage, and discovering who you really are.

Collingwood Days: Opening Day and Drum Circle
The Collingwood Days Festival will begin with a special blessing, followed by a powerful Drum Circle. Don’t miss this beautiful opening.
We are also honored to welcome Brenda Whitecap Logan, a Cree Knowledge Keeper from Moosomin First Nation. On the first day of the festival at 7pm, right after the land acknowledgement, Brenda will be sharing the sacred teachings of sweetgrass. These teachings were passed down to her by her late grandmother, and she now shares them with the next generation as a way of healing and connecting.
Brenda is a loving mother of five and believes in the power of cultural teachings for recovery and strength. Her presence is filled with love, prayer, and deep wisdom, and we are grateful she is joining us to open this year’s festival.
