    A rotating schedule of games and social activities tailored to different age groups. Events may include paint nights, card games, board games, movie nights, and more—promoting creativity, connection, and fun in a welcoming space.

    COST:  Youth Centre Membership, $10/year

    Youth: All Genders (Ages 13-18)

    Join us every Wednesday from 4-9pm for our All Genders Group! Taking a spin on the idea of a traditional “Girl’s Group” and/or “Boys Group”, All Genders is a weekly youth group for gender diverse youth and their allies to come and learn about various topics in a safe and inclusive space. Each Wednesday, participants will meet up and engage in activities and discussions on a wide range of topics, via a 2SLGBTQ+ lens.

  • Youth: Peer 2 Peer (Ages 13-18)

    Youth: Peer 2 Peer (Ages 13-18)

    Join us every Tuesday from 5-7pm for Peer 2 Peer, a youth-guided program aimed at improving the health and wellness of youth in Renfrew-Collingwood. Through a peer education and mentorship model, participants explore a wide range of health and wellness topics through a social justice lens, and develop the skills needed to share what they have learned with their peers and larger community. We hope to equip youth with the information, resources, support, and tools needed to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

    Youth: Summer Gym Drop-In (Ages 10-18)

    Join us this summer with the CNH Youth team! Youth aged 10 to 18 can drop in up to three times a week to play volleyball, basketball, soccer, and more.

      • 4-7 pm: 10-12 year olds
      • 4-8 pm: 13-18 year olds

      • 3:30-5:30 pm: 10-12 year olds
      • 5:30-9 pm: 13-18 year olds

  • Income Tax Clinic

    Income Tax Clinic

    March 1 to April 30, 2025 at the CNH Joyce and the CNH Annex

    Our annual income tax clinic will be available from March 1 to April 30, 2025. Book an appointment today and our volunteers will be able to assist with your taxes. Drop-offs are also accepted.

    Please note that this year’s tax deadline is Tuesday, April 30, 2025.

    Services provided through the tax income clinic are free. However, donations are always appreciated. The income tax program is volunteer-coordinated and operated.

    Files dropped off after April 30 will still be processed but there are no guarantees that it will be filed by April 30. (This only impacts clients expecting to owe taxes.)

    Booking an appointment

    Registration for all appointments is required.

    What to bring:

    • Government-issued photo ID (passport, BC ID or BC driver’s license)
    • All T-slips; if any are missing, please inform the volunteer or note on the intake form
    • Copy of your prior year (i.e. 2023) tax return, if applicable
    • A copy of your prior year’s notice of assessment/reassessment (letter you get from the CRA after you filed your taxes), if applicable

    To cancel your appointment, you can do it online or call 604-428-9142. Note: if you are exhibiting any flu or cold-like and not feeling well before the appointment, please cancel and re-book your appointment and refrain from entering the clinic.

    Additional Information

    The tax clinic is available to support all folks who need assistance with filing their taxes. However, we especially encourage those with the following backgrounds and/or experiences to book an appointment:

    • Seniors (pensioners)
    • Indigenous peoples
    • Fixed-income earners
    • Social assistance recipients
    • People experiencing housing insecurity (BC Housing)
    • Folks with disabilities
    • Youth (generally 16 and over)

  • Intro to Coding for Teens Workshop

    Are you a newcomer youth (grades 10-12) interested in technology and coding? Join us every Saturday this spring break from March 8-29 for an engaging and hands-on Intro to Coding workshop, designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of programming in a fun and interactive way! This workshop series takes place at the Annex (3690 Vanness Avenue).

    In this session, you will:
    >Learn the basics of coding and problem-solving
    >Explore simple programming concepts using beginner-friendly tools
    >Work on interactive activities to develop your logical thinking skills
    >Gain insights into how coding can be a valuable skill for your future

    No prior coding experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm! This workshop is offered as part of the Youth Settlement Program in collaboration with the Leadership Development Team to support newcomer youth in building digital skills for education and career opportunities.
