    Collingwood Days: Make Your Mark

    Join us at the CNH Annex to work on old and new art projects! Every Thursday, we offer space for sketching, watercolour painting, acrylic painting, origami, embroidery, knitting, crocheting and more. This is also a great opportunity to drop by our art studio to learn and share skills.

    Drop-ins are welcome, no registration is required. Basic art materials are provided by donation.

    Join us for the Scooters Rodeo for Seniors (55+) on Wednesday, July 16 from 10:30am to 2:30pm, a fun and free event all about safety, mobility, and a little adventure! Try the obstacle course, check out safety workshops, and enjoy hands-on displays. Scooters will be provided. Registration is required to ride the course.

    This event is hosted at the Renfrew Community Centre (2929 East 22nd Avenue). To register, call 604- 257-8388 ext. 1 or visit the centre in-person.

Guided by an Indigenous leader, you’ll stroll along the path and pause to read an Indigenous children’s storybook—bringing the plants and the story together for a meaningful experience rooted in culture and tradition.

    Bring your chair and get cozy at Collingwood Park to watch Rio (2011) after dusk. Please note that the movie will only take place if the weather permits.

    About the Movie:

    Rio (2011) is a fun animated movie about Blu, a rare blue macaw who can’t fly. He travels to Rio de Janeiro to meet Jewel, the last female of his kind. Their adventure takes them through the city as they try to escape from bird smugglers and learn to work together. With beautiful scenes, and funny characters, Rio is a joyful story about friendship, courage, and discovering who you really are.
