Program Description:
We have an opportunity with the Families Branching Out Program, which happens every Monday afternoon/evening. The program welcomes parents, grandparents and caregivers of children from 0 to 6 years old to come and meet, share ideas, develop parenting skills and just connect with each other. We also discuss about resources and support available in our community.
We are looking for volunteers with childminding experience, including ‘nanny or babysitter’ and older than 16yrs old, to support with the program.
Duties:
- Ensure a safe play environment while supporting Childminding workers.
- Setting up the room for children’s activities.
- Cleaning up after children’s play time or activities.
Requirements:
- Comfortable in a multicultural environment
- Capable of handling challenging activities
- Able to be friendly to our community members
- Completion of a Criminal Records Check
- 6 months minimum commitment
