Adults Activities

Our Fitness Program Pass is available at a cost of $54/12 sessions. The pass can be used for the following activities: Hatha Yoga, Meditation, Zumba, Zumba Steps, Zumba Toning, and Jazzercise. A single drop-in fee for these activities is $5.50. You save $12 by purchasing a pass. Our Sport Program Pass is available at a cost of $45/12 sessions. This pass can be used for the following activities: Volleyball, Badminton, and Soccer. All programs are on-going unless otherwise noted.

Fitness

NEW – STRONG by Zumba®

Stop counting the reps, start training to the beat. STRONG by Zumba combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. In a one-hour class you will burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs, and glutes. STRONG by Zuma instructors change up the music and moves frequently to make sure you’re always challenged to the max.

ZUMBA®

Basic Zumba

A typical Zumba session lasts an hour and incorporates several dance styles, including cumbia, bachata, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, and belly dance. The Latin music includes both fast and slow rhythms, allowing for a great cardio workout as well as body sculpting exercises. Zumba classes are for all ages and fitness levels–no experience neccesary! Most songs are pre-choreographed, so the more classes you attend the easier it gets!

Wednesdays, 12:05 – 1:05 p.m. &  7:15 – 8:15 p.m.
Thursdays, 5:45 – 6:45 p.m.  (Annex)
Saturdays, 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Zumba Step

With Zumba Step, we combine the awesome toning and strengthening the power of Step aerobics with the fun fitness party that only Zumba brings to the dance-floor. Participants learn new ways to increase cardio and calorie burning while adding moves that define and sculpt their core and legs.

Dates & Times: Mondays, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Zumba Toning

Participants learn how to use lightweight, maraca-like toning sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, glutes, and thighs. Zumba Toning combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie-torching, strength training, dance fitness party.

Tuesdays, 7:15 – 8:15 p.m.
Fridays, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

HATHA YOGA

Slow your life down and join us for a relaxing yoga class.  Increased strength, balance, stamina and body awareness are some benefits you can get from Hatha Yoga.  Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Program ongoing.

JAZZERCISE

Jazzercise is the number one dance/fitness program in the world. Using a follow-the-leader style, the instructor gives you the option of doing exercises using no impact, low impact and high impact techniques.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Saturdays, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Adult’s Sports

WOMEN’S AND MEN’S DROP-IN BADMINTON

A favourite activity in the Collingwood neighborhood, badminton will help sharpen your reflexes and develop your racquet skills. The gym can be divided into four courts, so we’ll be playing doubles throughout the program. People of all skill levels are welcome. Local residents are given sign-up priority when they pre-register.

Thursdays, 6:45 – 8:30 p.m.
Sundays, 10:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Cost: Drop-in $4.50

WOMEN’S AND MEN’S DROP-IN SOCCER

This recreational soccer program is a great way to stay in shape and meet new friends in your community. The program is very popular, so register early to ensure your spot. People of all skill levels are welcome. Local residents are given top priority when pre-registering. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED TO ENSURE A SPOT.

WOMEN’S AND MEN’S DROP-IN VOLLEYBALL

Join us in a social game of volleyball where you can bump, set, and spike to your heart’s content. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Date: Mondays and Wednesdays
Time: 8:30 – 10:15 p.m.
Cost: $45/12 sessions or drop-in $4.50.

 

Arts, Music & More

NEW   – COMMUNITY CHOIR

It is proven that when we sing in groups we connect to the bodies and minds of others and that our hearts in unison. Therefore, we designed a class in which the art and science of singing in a group
will be understood and enjoyed through exercises and songs that will make us feel good from a holistic perspective. Come out and enjoy the delighful experience of singing together as a community. Registration is required.

Dates & Times: Wednesdays, January 16-March 20, 5:30-6:45 pm (Annex)
Cost: $28.00/8 sessions.


NEW 
 –  TEATRO RAICES LATINAS (Theater in Spanish)

Unete a nuestra clase de teatro para principiantes. Aquí podrás aprender las expresiones básicas del cuerpo y mejorar tu creatividad. Al final de 10 sesiones participaras en un acto que se llevara a cabo al final del curso. Esta clase es dictada en español y todos los interesados son bienvenidos. (English speakers are welcome) Join a beginner class for theatre, basics of body expression, and enhancing your creativity. At the end of 10 sessions, participate in a play held at the end of the course. This class is taught in Spanish but all are welcome.

Dates & Times: Tuesdays, April 2- June 4, 6:00-8:00 pm 
Cost: $85.00/10 sessions.  Performance on June 8th
